Welcome To Government Rewtiraman Mishra PG College,Navapara, Surajpur


The department of Chemistry in Government Rewati Raman Mishra PG College, Surajpur was established in the year 2010. The Department was started with B.Sc.(Bio & Math) Course and currently running with intake capacity of 220students. M.Sc. in Chemistry (CBCS) has been introduced in the department science 2017 and currently running with 30 intake capacities of students. The main aim of the Chemistry department is to present the chemical science in simplest and innovative form so as to make it interesting and attractive to the students. However, to keep pace with present day demand in terms of development in teaching methods and in quality education the department is endeavoring its best to keep on upgrading infrastructure facilities and academic program. Currently department has various analytical instrument facilities like double beam UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, digital Polarimeter, Digital Refractometer, Flame photometer and many other instruments at UG, PG and research level. The department of chemistry has also well-equipped research lab with adequate instrumental and chemical facilities to carry out research as the chemistry department has been recognized as the research Centre by the affiliating university S.G.G.U, Ambikapur.

Mission

1.    To create and maintain the programs of excellence in the areas of education, research and public outreach.

2.    To promote, inspire and nurture the fundamentals of chemistry through UG and PG courses offered for the basic science.

CLASSROOM LECTURES

Regular classes of UG and PG students were conducted according to the Timetable before the out break of Pandemic.

The classes were conducted through online, offline and blended mode according to the guidelines of UGC, Department ofHigher education and Chhattisgarh state. Post graduate classes are also conducted using smart board.

TUTORIAL CLASSES FOR SLOWLEARNERS

Tutorial classes were conducted for slow learners in post- and under-graduate level.

Ø Library Facilities

Facility of the Automated departmental library is available with text books as well as reference books sections including more than 300 books.

INTERACTIVE SESSIONS

Undergraduate Students are encouraged to participate in the various seminars whereas it is compulsory for the Postgraduate students to present their seminars either using PPT. During these sessions open discussions are made between the teachers and students on the relevant topics.
